Hi! I am The Better Balanced Dietitian, also known as “The Yogi’s Nutritionist”. I take a whole body approach through the teachings of yoga and the science of nutrition to help you achieve optimal wellness from within. My focus is finding balance through meals with better blood glucose control, hormonal homeostasis, and functional fueling.
I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), and hold 2 degrees in nutrition .
I am a certified fitness instructor (AFAA) and experienced registered yoga teacher (E-RYT 200) who has been teaching for over a decade. I am also a YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider) provider to continuing education for other yoga instructors.
I keep my knowledge up to date by completing continued education units which count towards re-certifying my licenses. I have trained in many different courses, consisting of both Western and Eastern modalities. My approach to your nutritional care is informed by many years of learning, and many certifications.
I believe nutrition and yoga go hand in hand, not only for physical health, but for mental health as well.
I take a whole food, whole person approach to nutritional wellness. I draw from many different modalities of teaching, research, and philosophy.
And I want to help YOU reach your wellness goals.
I want you to THRIVE right NOW – not “10 pounds form now”. Not “when my stomach settles down”. Not “when I have more time”.
I’m here to give you nutrition knowledge so that you are equipped to make the BEST food choices for you, no matter what lifestyle/eating habits/illness/disease you are living with (if any).
I am here to help you AVOID further injury or harm through bodily movement and/or nutrition.
I am here to help you make LASTING lifestyle changes so you feel better than ever.
I can’t wait to see what you accomplish.
